There was a very odd pattern on the ice, presumably where something had been thrown through. The form reminds me of tree branches, or the view of a river from high above.

Water, water everywhere
Went for a short walk around Buchan Country Park on Sunday, and apart from the hundreds of dogs being walked, the other noticeable thing was the amount of water. Although the lake was still largely frozen, all of the snow had gone, and every little channel and ditchlet was running. The combination of the melt water and the rain had meant the ground was saturated.
